Greenman

This brass wall hanging depicts the greenman in one of his classical forms that is more human in shape than his normal full foliate image.
The greenman is the Lord of Nature, Lord of all Animals. He has been a symbol of male nature divinity in his various forms through the history of most cultures.
Even Christian churches featured the greenman upon the walls of churches and the like since at least the 11th century.
Closely linked with many other gods and legends, the greenman has been thought to be Cernunnos, Robin Goodfellow, John Barley-corn and more.
